Ardeo is a server being developed by a select team of staff members. Ardeo has large ambitions, and aspires to go Gold on release. Currently a small portion of the first gmap is open for the public.
The Setting
The world of Ardeo, named Quian'Dor in the server's lore, holds a multitude of races and nations, as well as a large pantheon of gods. Races include classics like the stubborn Dwarves, serene Elves, and vicious Drow. But also races unique to Quian'Dor like the heroic [[Ardeo/Murdriai|Murdriai and the mysterious Uldri.
Ardeo is about to be consumed by a deep struggle for power on the main continent of Quian'Dor, and it is up for the player to leave his mark on the world.
Features
- Leveling is a major theme in almost every RPG, and Ardeo is not an exception. Players level their three main levels: melee, ranged, and magic. Leveling one will make it harder to level the other, so the player is required to make specific choices regarding his career.
- The Economy of Ardeo will have options for everyone's liking. Like mining, farming, keeping shop, blacksmithing, and much much more.
- Player Owned Property is a category describing everything that the player can own. These POP's include islands, houses, and farmland, as well as more options.
- Governments will play a large role in the player's daily way of playing. The government (run by playes) can claim property, start wars, issue taxes or laws, and hire people to make their country a better place.
- Traveling is a major theme in the large world of Ardeo. Players need to reach far off places, and what is faster than a ship? Or maybe a wagon service? Players will never have to walk through endless areas all alone. Instead, they can hire a coachman or a captain to bring them to their destination. All available forms of NPC travel will also be made available to players.
