People who do like PS feel that he is apt to help people, and he does that frequently. Several playerworlds owe him much debt for things he has done.
On the other hand, there are people who don't like him at all, thinking that he is an idiot. Neither side is necessarily right. Usually with PS, you either like or hate him, with no middle ground.
