GModev

From Graal Bible

Formerly known as the Graal Modern Development team, GModev, or Global Modern Development Team WAS an elite force of developers who stood by mainly modern servers.

There were quite a few members of the #GModev that were well known, and stayed that way until rule of #GModev was passed down.

Honorable mention members of the #GModev group included:

Brad/Yendi (Creator of the #GModev, held high development jobs on over 11 modern servers)

XiLe (Manager of Scripting for the #GModev)

Ise & Sam Mayu (Managers of levels for the #GModev)

TheJames (Very well known server owner, and one of the first

  1. GModev members)

Darwin (Well known Ex. Era development member)

Maiku (Well known charismatic member for the #GModev, helped with alot of important recruiting issues, held high ranking jobs on modern servers.)

Storm (Known for charismatic management, some small graphics work)

The guilds idea began after Brad along with Storm began doing extra work on a server called Spawn, After Storm applied for help on #GLevels, he realized that he would have to send separate messages, and wait for separate responses from #GScript, #GLevels, #GGraphics, and the such. Later in the year Brad got together a few reliable development members and began creating GModev. After hosting a IRC channel for #GModev (Now abandoned), the #GModev was in business. After a few months a member named Jigga enlisted the help of his fellow #GModev staff to help him with his server. Not many ran to help at the time due to a reputation drop, and his server failed. Blaming it on the GModev, Jigga claimed that he would post outrageously angry reviews on the graal forums about the GModev choosing to not help him, but such a thing never happened. After a few months members of the #GModev started to fade away, the administration such as XiLe, James, Ise and Sam either quit or left GModev. Brad, having no choice shut down #GModev.

In September 2007, Jigga's reputation slowly went up, and Brad decided to give Jigga a second chance by allowing him to Co-Own the #GModev with him. Jigga did a few small changes that made Brad figure he made a good choice, such as renaming the guild from the Graal Modern Development team to the Global Modern Development Team, reasoning because Jigga acquired C+ and Java scripters, who at the time were looking to create guns focused around gangs and warfare. This got the #GModev channel a few more supporters, but still nothing amazing. After a few weeks, Brad chose to give up graal for a bit, and left Jigga full rights to the GModev. When he came back in early 2008, he found out what Jigga did to detroy the GModev, and while trying to find out how to reverse it, he also found out he was demoted at the same time. Here is the chart on what each owner did for the #GModev.

Rules of each owner, and what they added/removed:

Brad:

  • Creator of #GModev
  • Allowed help for Levels, Ganis, Graphics, SFX.
  • Strictly made #GModev for modern servers only.
  • Home server was chosen to be Atrius (Where most of the newer GModev staff resided)
  • Allowed #GModevs to pick where they could work without any worry of being fired.
  • Members at the newbie rank were forced to undergo a strict tryout process in order to rank up to their job.

Jigga:

  • Started out as newbie for #GModev, advanced to Scripting administration, but was later found out to have used scripts made for his server by someone else
  • In addition to help Brad added, Jigga gave #GModev new staff that could management train, nondev staff train, and allow
  • Allowed #GModev to be used for modern, medieval, and classic.
  • Home server was Oakdale City (Jiggas private server)
  • Changed from Graal modern development to Global modern development
  • Forced #GModevs to work where their manager told them to, else they were fired.
  • Hired his own friends with no development skills to manage those with development skills.

Thus said, to this day #GModev is under Jigga's management, Brad has cancelled the #GModev IRC channel, and warned alot of the graal public that some of the members of the new #GModev have no talents, and to even try them out if they even want to use #GModev members anymore. The #GModev was another failure chalked up for graal.
