A New Adventure

Dialogue

Joseph

Hello! My wife has already informed me of the arrival of a new Traveller. You probably have no clue about Graal Kingdoms, the people and the rules? You can probably learn some things by helping some of my friends. Here is a list of people needing help, just click on the map icon on the left side of the screen, then select an option, and you will arrive there. They will teach you how to use items, buying things in shops and learning Magic. Once you have completed everything come in my pub and I will tell you more. It is a few steps east of here.

Live long and prosper!

Magic Info

We are teaching magic. Grab the objects on the tables and I will tell you some interesting things about them. You can buy most things required for magic in the magic shops on the main island. The only thing you need is some basic level of wisdom and intelligence, without them you should not try to be a magician. There is black and white magic. Black magic (Sorcerer) can be learned from books and scrolls and require spell points (mana), while white magic is given you by your god. Prayers only work by grace of God.

Magic Book

That is a spell book, when you read it you might learn the spell written in it, but you need to have high intelligence or must be of higher level than the spell.

Prayer Book

That is like a spell book, but instead of normal spells it gives you the knowledge of using a special prayer when you succeed in reading it. You must have the praying skill and follow a god to use this. To follow a god just go to one of the 5 altars on the main island and pray.

Skill Scroll

This scroll gives you a skill when you succeed in reading it. Skills can be quite powerful, e.g. praying opens many possibilities like getting healed by the god or using white magic, or literacy allows even Barbarians to read books and scrolls. Skill scrolls are quite expensive.

Magic Scroll

Scrolls give you the power to fire spells one time. That way you can test to see if a spell is good for you. Also some spells are only available as scrolls and cannot be learned, e.g. the weapon enhancement scroll which lets you power up your swords and axes.

Books

There are several books and papers that tell you something about how things work, such as recipes for alchemy and guides for fighting.

Wands info

To cast a spell or prayer you have 3 ways: You can equip a wand or rod and press S, you can activate a scroll by double-clicking it, or you can select spell in the quick=launch menu under the health bar and food bar. Double click on an icon or move the icon onto a player or monster to select the object you want to cast the spell on.

Wand

Wands give you limited charges for special black magic spells, you also need a wand equipped when you want to cast spells that are not bound to objects, basically all spells that appear in the quick launch spell list when you click on the "Spells" button under the health bar and food bar display.

Red Staffs

Red staffs give you limited charges of white magic spells (prayers)

Blue Rod

That type of rod gives unlimited charges of spells and is more expensive, but still needs spell points or grace so you must sometimes wait until those are restored.

Guide

To complete this quest talk to the npcs and leave the building.

Buy Healing Potion

Talk to Bonnie to start the quest.
Take the ferry from Sea Side Farm to Bomboria.

Dialogue

Bonnie

Hello! Please help me, I was falling and injured my left leg. Please bring me a healing potion from the shop to the right side.

Potion Task

After a long time of thinking, I decided to move to Bomboria. No one came to my my potions anymore so I had to do something. I hope the people over there are looking for some potions - Jeno

Bonnie

Oh, I did not know that the potion shop moved to Bomboria . Please help me and get the potion from there. You can get to Bomboria using the ferry. At the Sea Side Farm is a dock where the ferry leaves. Good luck!

Buy the potion from the store in Bomboria.
Trade the potion to Bonnie.

Swashbuckler Roy

Ahoy, what are you doing? ... Ah, I see - Yes I am waiting for the ferry, too. It is an important vehicle to travel from island to island. Usually you have to pay for the ferry but since there is no other way like a dungeon or a dockyard to build your own ship, this ferry is free t use

Enjoy your journey!

Jeno

Hello! I am selling special potions. Just go to one of the potions, then press the A key to see the "buy" menu. Click on the left button to buy it.

Bonnie

Please give me that healing potion! Open your item menu by pressing Q, then select the potion and move it on me so that you see the trading icon, then drop it. With the same way you can trade items with other players.

Bonnie

Many thanks!

That should help me a lot.

Guide

To complete this quest you have to travel to main land via the ferry at Sea Side Farm (Feeding Pet Task). Once you arrive at the main land head into town and enter the potion shop. In the potion shop press the A key on the blue healing potion and click the left button on the interface. When you have received the potion you have to head back to Bonnie who will be a waiting your arrival. To cure Bonnie drag the potion from your inventory over her until you see the trade icon then let go of your mouse button.

Moving Furniture

Talk to Boris to start the quest.
Enter the house.

Dialogue

Boris

Hello! I am building a new house, but somehow the stones fall out again once I finish the wall... Well, I have heard you wanted to help my wife Madeleine who is moving the furniture in our house(again...). The house is just a few steps to the west.

Madeleine

Hello! Can you help me? In my house I have a lot of new furniture, someone needs to help to move them to the right places. Just enter the house and move some of my furniture by clicking them with the mouse, keep the mouse button pressed, and move it to another place, then release the button. All houses owned by Graalians have movable furniture, you just need to drop it on the ground and move it with the mouse, if you are the owner of the house.

Move some Furniture inside the house.

Guide

Moving some furniture inside the house and then leave again to complete the quest.

Using the Mines

Enter the mines.
Talk to James.

Dialogue

Jimmy

Hello! Do you mind helping us in the mines? We have a big job to finish but we do not have enough time! Please go inside and talk to my older brother James.

James

Great to see my brother found someone who is able to help us! Mining is not hard at all but there are different way to do it. In the beginning while you have no equipment you can just kick the rocks in the mines holding the S key and pressing the direction keys (<v>v) in the direction you are facing to destroy them and get the coal, iron, gold or even diamonds. It takes some time but it works great without any equipment. But you have to be careful, sometimes hidden monsters appear so be quick and kill them.

Please go and get me some iron or coal now and I will tell you more!

Talk to Hank.

James

The other way to mine is to hit the rocks with a pickaxe. This way you are done faster. but there are not only rocks, have a look around in the mines and you will see that some walls have cracks. If you use your pickaxe there then you will get some minerals out of the wall. You can pick these up and take them to the crusher. I have a few that need to be crushed, take them to Hank. He will tell you more about it.

Hank

Ah, finally more mineral! I hope these are not the only ones we've got!? Well - Please give me the mineral then I can put it in the crusher. It will destroy the stone and leave the good supplies. It is very easy. If you mine yourself later on all you need to do is to drag and drop the mineral onto the crusher!

James

Thanks for helping us! We can now finish this job in time! Therefore I will tell you how to work faster. Do you see the tracks around? Just build a mining cart and put it on the tracks. You can put the minerals but also the supplies from the rocks in it and transport them through the mines!

Hank

Thanks for the help. Please go back to James to finish your task. He will tell you about our secret how to mine faster.

Guide

To complete the task kick one of the rocks in the mines to receive iron or coal, then trade it to James the same way you did for Bonnie with the potion.

Head north in the mines to find Hank to start the next task.

To complete this task trade the mineral to Hank the same way you did for James.

Finally talk to James again then leave the mines to complete the quest.

Crafting

Enter the blacksmiths.
Complete the tasks for the blacksmiths.

Dialogue

Blacksmith Marion

Hello! I can tell you some information about crafting weapons and tools, you will need that for doing the shovel and later for playing successfully on Graal Kingdoms. For producing weapons or metallic tools there are basically two working steps: First you make basic things out of iron, like blades or iron plates. The second step is to actually make the weapon or tool, there you need the basic metallic items plus some more things like wood or gold.

Go to my brothers to hear more about the two steps.

Keld

I will explain you the first step, making basic metallic items. For that you fire the chimney with coal and put iron on it, both by simply grabbing it (). Then you need to equip the pliers, take the iron by pressing S near it, go to the water barrel and water it by pressing S again. The last thing you need to do is to go to the gray anvil and press S again to see a menu that shows what you can do with the hot iron. Those things are actually quite complicated right now, my brother will tell you how to easily make a shovel.

Morn

For actually making weapons or tools you need to go to the blue anvil, grab it (), then you see a menu of what items you can produce. When you click on an item you will see what you need to produce it in the lower part of the window. That can be blades, gold, wood or more seldom stuff like body parts from monsters or items that are in hidden chests in the underground dungeons. The shovel should only require some iron bars, select the shovel and click on the hammer-icon. After the crafting is finished take the shovel from the anvil. Also craft a lumber axe, you will need it later on! Then please come back to me.

Guide

To complete this quest talk to all the NPCs inside the blacksmiths and use the iron Morn give you to create a shovel and an axe on the anvil next to him.

Plant Corns

Dig up corn with the shovel and plant it.

Dialogue

Jeb

Hello! We need more people planting corn for us. If you want you can help us. Use your shovel to dig some seeds, then when you have found a yellow corn seed dig a hole and put the seed inside to plant it. I will water it using my watering can and crop it with the scythe.

Jeb

Thanks for helping us! You are welcome to plant more corn plants. With the corn you can go to the wind mill which is turning the corn into flour which is needed for bread baking. Bakeries can be found in most towns, bread is good for increasing your food level.

Guide

To complete this quest dig a hole in the ground and pick up some corn, then drop the corn into the hole using the trading icon on the hole.

Build a Ship

Talk to John Sr to start the quest.
Cut the logs at the woodmill.

Dialogue

John Sr.

Ships are very important to travel from island to island. You can use the ferry but it is more fun to have an own ship command! You can find shipyards on every island. All you need is a few boards. If you have some just grab the logs to start building your ship. To finish my ship I need some boards. Please bring me 5 boards. Just drop a tree seed on the ground and double-click it. With some time until the tree is grown out and shop it with a lumber axe. Then take the log to the sawmill north of Wellington to cut it into boards. Drag the boards on me and press SHIFT to add more or CTRL to give me less then you release the left mouse button to drop the boards.

John Sr.

Great, thanks for the boards! Talk to my son now, he will explain to you how to bring it into the water.

Guide

Plant a tree by digging up a tree seed then doubling-click on the seed and wait for it to grow, Cut the tree down with your axe then take the log to the lumber mill in Wellington and turn it into wooden boards by pressing the A key under the red belt at the left of the lumber mill. Lastly take the 5 boards back to John and trade them to him using the trading icon. To complete the quest talk to John's son.

Build a House

Talk to Jenny at Bomboria.

Dialogue

Jenny

Hello, look at my house, isn't it in a terrible shape? I told my husband to build a new one. Just talk to Justus, I'm sure he will tell you how you can build your own house. An own house is very nice because you are able to keep your things in it so you don't have to carry everything around for example.

Justus

You now know all I do, so you are well prepared to build your own house an a kingdom island.

Jenny

I hope you will build your own house now. Good luck on your journey and have fun!

Guide

To complete this quest talk to Jenny, then to Justus and then to Jenny again.
