Introduction

The Graal root directory is the path used to save all game files and the executable program used to launch the Graal Client and is often referred to as the 'Graal Folder'.

Finding the root directory

The root directory for Graal is different for each Operating System according to the filesystem.

Windows

On Windows the common path for the Graal root directory on Windows XP and lower is 'C:/Program Files/Graal'. On Vista and above, the common path is '~/Graal' (inside the current user's user folder—the full path may be 'C:/Users/Your Account/Graal'). The path can be changed on all Windows operating systems.

Linux

Graal v5 or earlier

On Linux systems running Graal v5 or earlier, the Graal root directory path is '~/.graal/graal4' with the graal executable stored at '/usr/bin/graalexe'
