Due to the recent disputes over what playerworld content belongs to whom. Graal's Playerworld Administration is using this method to allow all parties involved to state their cases for ownership and resolve the matter once and for all.
The normal method for this in the past has been whoever rented the server space owned the content along with Graalonline. Regardless of who has developed what, once it is uploaded onto the server, the content belongs to this server and whomever paid for the server owned the content. In the case of free servers it was owned by the current management and Graalonline.
Recently there have been several cases of developers and owners claiming content. Server renters allowing others to develop on their playerworlds. Leading them to believe the content still would belong to the developer then claiming the content as their own.
Please keep in mind that according to Playerworld rules as stated on the forums. Any files uploaded into the file-manager becomes the sole property of GraalOnline. When a player works for a playerworld as a 'Staff' member all files given to the manager to upload, or uploaded themselves, becomes property of GraalOnline. Temporary usage rights (until shutdown of a playerworld) is given to the playerworld manager while the playerworld is online. This right of usage is terminated when the playerworld is shut down. This means, Graalonline is not required to authorize or even provide this content but are trying to help players in the development of their servers.
Currently on dispute are content for Oakdale and Spawn. It seems Endora and Ol'West content has been resolved.
What we would like each of those involved to do is state their account name, Playerworld name and/or number and why they believe the content belongs to them. Since we are dealing with the content of more than one server make sure you state which content you are claiming. Please prove your case, don't just claim its yours because you say so. Once we feel we have enough information to make a judgement. Our word will be final and if the content is not removed from other playerworlds appropriate action will be taken. All current support tickets for claims will be responded to appropriately and closed.
Please do this in a civilized manner, no flaming, no useless comments. Just the facts as you see them.
